I see there's a rather ''conservative'' wave over this forum lolll . I'm not one to diss that :P
Dodge dude, I did not do the bands...but I seem to have another problem.
I had read somewhere that there was no temp sensor on these trannies, so I dismissed the code 37 I had pretty much forever... but everything was working fine, OD included. Now I'm thinking the check valve may be at fault or the actual temp sensor, but like I said I had that code forever and a day and it never caused an issue.
Is there a way to jump that sensor? Like a switch or something? Just to see if I will get OD by cutting off the overheat signal to find out if this is really my problem?? If it is and I suspect it's inside the pan, can I put an inline sensor instead of the regular one??
Thanx!

The trucks with the trans. temp. sensor were the ones with the heavy duty or tow package. Look at your line where it exits the trans. near the front and just above the pan on drivers side, if you have one, it'll be there. Even the trucks that have never had one can get that code for some inexplicable reason. It's pretty common.
Get rid of that check valve, it's nothing but a potential problem. They tend to plug up and cutoff the flow of fluid to the cooler.
