97 Dodge Ram 1500 transmission slipping

Ok, yesterday I put in the new governor pressure sensor and solenoid and changed the transmission fluid/filter. The truck definitely shifts better now but it's still not back to normal. After driving for 10 minutes or so it will still act like I'm popping the clutch when starting from a stop. So it will slightly rev up for a second then jump forward as it catches. Shifting between other gears seems normal but the one from a stop still is acting weird.
Then just to make it even more confusing, after I got home yesterday I parked it, put it in neutral and topped off the fluids. Then I took it right back out (I put a little bit of Lucas Oil in there so I wanted to mix it up) and it shifted just fine. Never shut it off so it was still hot but shifted just fine. So I decided to check 1st and 2nd. Put it down into 2nd to start and it did the same popping the clutch thing. Put it back in drive and it was back to popping the clutch. So just for the heck of it, trying to "clear" it somehow, I put it in neutral for a second, then reverse and backed up a couple of feet. Then back to drive and viola, it shifted just fine. I didn't try putting it back into 2nd. So I'm kind of lost now. Maybe it is a mechanical issue? I didn't clean the throttle cable assembly on the engine but it didn't look too dirty and seemed to move just fine. I checked the other end on the transmission and the spring is still there and it seemed to move without any issue either. It is kind of oily because I think it was leaking transmission fluid before I changed it but it still moved just fine.
Any other ideas? I'm trying to sell the truck but I can't in good conscience let someone buy it if I know there is an issue.

Hey guys, im new to the forum. I came here looking for some answers, so hopefully I can find them here!
The other day I drove my truck to work, and to lunch and back with no issues at all. Then when I go to head home, I put my truck in reverse to back out of the stall, and it made a pretty loud clunking noise, then would not move if i pushed on the accelerator. I put it into drive and I could move, put it back into R, and same thing. I was able to drive it home as long as I didnt have to put it into R. So the only area Im having the problem is in reverse.
I had a buddy who told me it was most likely my reverse gear was toast, or an unlikely chance, that it may be my linkage? any thoughts? thanks in advance.

You might also try adjusting the bands. Get a Haynes manual and see if you have the correct tools to perform the procedure. You'll need to remove the pan for one of them. This will also give you the opportunity to see what is in the pan. Install a drain plug while the pan is off also.
