Default 94 ram 1500 not shifting into overdrive

Alright.... I have a 94 dodge ram 1500 4x4 5.9 with a 46rh trans that is not shifting into overdrive.... so far I have put a new temp sensor, had the overdrive rebuilt, checked the continuity on the wires going from the computer to the overdrive solenoid to make sure there is not a short in the wires, replaced the computer, and still no overdrive!!!
Any ideas? The only think I can think of to do now is to replace the overdrive solenoid but I was wondering if there is a full proof way of checking/testing the overdrive solenoid to know weather or not it was bad before I put any more money in the wrong places.... getting kinda tired of sinking money in it and nothing getting fixed.... any help would be appreciated.. and could it be something other than the solenoid?

Need to know if the PCM is actually commanding O/D..... simple test, fun to set up for though. PCM simply grounds a wire to complete the circuit for the O/D solenoid. Stick a test light on that wire, (someplace you can see it....) and go for a drive. If the light comes on, but you don't get O/D, solenoid is bad. If the light DOESN'T come on, need to find out why the PCM doesn't want to engage it.

Does your speedo work? CEL on? Any codes?? Do you get TCC engage?

That why we troubleshoot rather than shotgun, friend.

Get the factory service manual. Start on page 21-578 if it's the 2001 FSM. There ya go.
