Default Hey I have a 1994 dodge ram 1500. My battery is draining

Well I have not been able to find out what is causing the problem yet. If its the battery or if it's a fuse or what. If you have any ideas please lemme know thanks. Btw it's not an extreamly fast drain but if sits for more then a few days it won't start.

Welcome to Dodgeforum.com. Generally its a good idea to start off by posting all of your trucks details to your signature. Anyways, running any kind of aftermarket stereo equipment? Any after aftermarket lighting?

or remote start, or security system.

If you have a circuit draining the battery one way to find it is to disconnect your positive battery cable. Then hook a test light to the battery and the other end to the battery cable. If the light is on it means you have something draining your battery. So now pull one fuse at a time and watch your light. When it goes out that is the circuit you want to look in for the problem.

Make sure you have nothing in the glove box blocking the switch. And that the switch is intact and not loose or broken.

There is a switch in the glove box for the light. If the switch is broken, or not in the correct spot, the light stays on, and the battery goes dead over night.
