Default 2001 Dodge Ram Alarm System

Well i just got a 2001 dodge ram 2500. Now everytime I lock my doors and them come back at a later time and unlock them with my keys. The alarm goes off for no reason. It makes three bursts and then it is done. What causes this and how can i disable it. It happens every time and is very annoying. Thanks Lance

I Do not know i am not the original owner. When i bought it he did not tell me if he had put in an aftermarket system. There is a sticker on the driver window that says zero contact security system i dont know if that helps at all.

Aftermarket.....

See if you can find the alarm box.... get the model number, and see if you can look up the manual for it online somewhere.

Usually under the dash on the drivers side... maybe behind the kick panel by the ebrake pedal..... or, up above the knee bolster...... Gonna have to go digging.
