That just sounds ghetto. Had our work mechanic order me a new line from the dealer. Cost $50 and they will deliver it to his shop which saves me driving the 30-45 minutes to pick it up. Hopefully will get most of it done tomorrow

I am real curious why folks spend that kind of money, for a pre-bent line, when you can easily bend one up yourself, for a tenth of the cost?

Because time is money, and they may not have the time or the tools to bend the line to conform to the various curves and arcs.

That rear line is pretty easy to install. I was able to fish the new pre-bent line between the gas tank and the frame easily. The reason I went with pre-bent lines was due to the fact I could get them in stainless, I'm picky about not having them leak ever again and want them to look nice once installed.

Ended up costing 40 and it's a long *** line. I'm guessing it goes from the master Cylinder the whole way back

That line is a very tight squeeze at the front where it goes through the frame and fire wall (needs to be real accurate), I paid $30 for mine and I have a roll of line and the tools to do it. That line I just wanted it to back in the factory clips and the bends right, so I would not have any rubbing. And as I stated, you don't have to drop the tank, just loosen and push it over.

Getting ready to do the same job. Had a question or two I thought I'd put into this thread instead of starting a new one.

I'm going to pull the old line out and use that as a template to make my new one then thread it in. Anything I need to be aware of?

Additionally, since I plan to buy a big'ole spool of 3/16th is there any reason I shouldn't just do the rest of the steel line? What about those, for example, on the rear axle that come out of the junction that is placed on the axle? That seems to have some spiral around that. Leave it or replace it?

Thanks.
