Angry steering alignment

hey guys. the other day i was parking my truck straight to change my wooped *** gearbox (96 ram 1500 with 4x4) and when my driver side tire is straight, my passenger side is noticeably canted outward. i never noticed this before.. does anyone know what could have caused this or how i can fix it?? thanks!

Assuming you've checked all the other steering components, and they are all good. You simply need an alignment.

DO it yourself!
-jack up truck under axle
-spin tires and score a neat line on tires
-measure rear and front of tires
-adjust driver side adjuster until zero toe or maybe one mm

thanks! and where the link goes into the stabilizer bar on the drivers side, that link has always been more tilted inward than on the passenger side but that shouldnt really affect it.. is that something i should worry about?

Just filled out your profile huh ? 6" lift ? I suggest you post pics here in your thread of the setup you have. Wouldn't worry about stabilizer bar or links, a lot of guys remove them completely.

Skyjacker doesn't make 6" only 3", 5" or 7" just fyi. Yes, the tie rods should be "centered" when sitting still. They can rotate a bit around the ball joint but I like mine even or level when sitting straight. If they are sitting at different angles, a sharp approach on a turn could cause binding and even failure.

Default removing pitman arm when all else fails

okay so i know theres a million threads on how much of a b**** it is but how did you guys end up finally removing your pitman arm? i tried to get it off on both sides. the pullers been on there for 4 days now at approx "how didnt the tool break yet??" ft. lbs. ive had it cherry red twice now and the second time even poured cold water on it in adittion to as many beatings as a small african child recieves daily. is there anything else to try before the saw comes out?
