Yep.
Lotsa guys run it with zero issues. Has more detergents in it to clean the carbon that builds up in diesels.

Rotella T6 FTW! It's a great oil from some of the UOA's I've been looking at. Gonna switch to that myself if I ever get tired of QS Ultimate Durability

If it's burning oil don't put in thinner weight. Use 10w40 at least if not 15w40. Synthetic is also very slippery and will find any and all leaks or holes so you may end up "using" or "burning" more with full synth. I use Maxlife 10w40 and it works quite well. Engine is quiet and smooth with quiet startups. It still uses at least a quart every change though. That is to be expected and not abnormal. I always buy an extra quart when I change it and just add throughout the cycle.

Instead of masking the problem fix it. Answer is stickied at the top of the page in the form of the plenum thread (most likely that).

That isn't always the answer de facto. Engines use oil. Just a given. Mine has always used at least a quart unless worked hard over a long trip.

A quart in 2000 miles doesn't sound like just burning a bit of oil. You shouldn't be burning that much unless you have a problem with the motor. I bet any money plenum is the problem.

Mine doesn't burn that. Mine catches that in my can. lol

Maybe you should install a catch can and see what you're sucking in through the PCV.
