Default Rotella Oil
Will using 5w-40 in a 5.2 harm the engine? I'm burning like a quart every 2000 miles if I don't beat on it (below 2,500 rpm).

I don't think so. Should be pretty good for the cold temps of NY. Nice and slick cold, thicker when hot.

What does rotella run a quart? Take a look at Amsoil.

Cool thing about the Rotella is that you can get it in the big gallon jugs at Wally world.

ok so its good in cold weather and wont damage the engine. As long as it burns less oil and maybe I get another 1mpg better with the rotella! If I do ill hit 10mpg average finally

Cool thing about Amsoil is that it's shipped to your door. O yeah it comes in gallon jugs also.
