Yeah, I think they are sealed in there. Not just stuffed in. Not in the easiest spot to work on either. Could just 'sleeve' the lines... just push some rubber line down over it. That should take care of any leaks there.

But, if it engages nice, but, takes its time about disengaging, I would look long and hard at the steel lines running along the frame too.

Any idea what color disengages the axle red or black?

Red is for 2wd.

HY is correct that you can't take rubber glove off the switch. It took me some fighting but you take the vac line out of the rubber hose. It's also a pain in the butt. I have more room with body lift. Just reaching it is my complaint.

For the hard lines on mine when looking up at the transfer case, the line forward is for the red hookup.
