Working on putting on the replacement control arm mount, but it appears the two sleeves which go inside of the mount so a bolt can go through the original mounting point (upper arm, axle side) and have it keep its original spacing are just a WEEEEEEE bit too big. Tried using a pry bar and everything to get that extra mm or two so I can slide them in. Considering just shaving them down a tiny bit.
Yes, sorry for late reply from earlier, that was a portable bandsaw. Good work busting them old bad boys out.

You can go away from the stock cam bolts very easily. Doing the caster can be done well if you have an angle finder to place on the knuckle and know how to use floor jack on the pinion. I didn't need to since my arms are double adjustable.

But here you go on the path I took for the "improved" cam bolts.

Pay attention to your size bolt holes though. They do change at 98 I think? I don't remember. Way back on Redneck Ram's thread for axle swap we have all that hashed out.

Well, I couldn't find metric bolts where I am. So right now, there are SAE measured bolts in there that felt pretty damn close. Either way, I won't be tightening them down. I just wanted some place holders so I could keep working. I'll ordered the new bolts online - the cam bolts. As for the rest, once I figure out the proper measurement of the bolts I can order those too. I'm sure a bit of looking online and I can find them.

Atleast there was SOME progress today... I had to drill 4 holes on each side to 1/2" IOT accommodate the new bolts:

So yeah... looking around for one to rent. Go to a rental place, ask for one, the guys' response? "What do you need it for? Bag a moose?" "WHAT?!? No... wait... People use it for that? Then how the hell do you NOT have one for rent then?"

Well, both sides brackets are on. Had to shave the sleeves. Went to put the new SJ lower control arm on - went in at the frame ok, axle... not so much. I'm gonna toss my grinder up in there with a disk sander and see if I can't clean up whatever there is keeping these from sliding in smoothly.

Little bit of work with the flap disc and it was all good.

Mind you, axle was a bit off at first... but eventually got it about right:

And there are tons of mosquitoes out suddenly, so that does it for the night.

You are a god send! Thank you! I will order soon! $23 for both, as opposed to $117 for it here. Wow.
