Default Rear Door wont open

I have I 98 ram extended cab, the driver side rear door will not open I suspect it is the bottom latch I'm not sure how I could get it open with out cutting the door, any ideas would be a great help.

Thank You

Will move this to the right section for you.

Remove the rear seat, pull the door panel. Should be able to get to the latch then. Hit it with some chemicals. (Not WD 40, that won't work) Let it soak for a while, and see if you can pull the rod by hand.

DON`T CUT THE DOOR, ITS EASY TO FIX.

I had this same problem on my 2000 extended cad. What you need to do is open the driver door, unscrew the door handle for the rear door and you will see that the rod for the top lock and the lower lock come up and attach to a metal plate at the door handle, this metal plate is screwed into the door handle. This plate comes loose from the door handle over time and you can no longer open the rear door. Put this metal plate back in place and tighten the bolt that holds it on and you should be good to go.

I tried that it is rusted and seized shut what I did was take the seat out and the door panel off soaked it and had someone hold the door handle open and had to kick the inside of the door to disengage it and after that I replaced latch
