squeeky front end

Default squeeky front end

I replaced both shocks. Replace all tie rod ends n links. It squeeks goin down highway at 60 and 30 around town. Its driving me nuts. Anyone have any ideas?

U-joints, wheel bearings, dry diff's (no oil in them), control arm bushings, ball joints. I can keep going we need a better description of how, when and where the squeaks happens. Does it only happen when you hit a bump or is a rotational squeak?

More like when i hit bumps. Not a rotating squeek. Jus like when i hit a dip in the road.

Control arm bushings, or the bushings in the end of the shocks is were I would start.

Yep, gotta torque those bottom shock bolts to like 110 ft/lbs.... else they make odd noises.

did it squeak before you changed all those things?

a hard-to-find squeak is the auto trans linkage bushings. they're under the drivers feet, but outside the firewall, at the ends of a pivot rod. put a bunch of grease on them. mine squeaked whenever the cab rocked and could be reproduced by opening the drivers door all the way and using it for leverage to rock the cab sideways.

Yea it squeeked before i installd new shocks. Ill try torquein em down n go from there. Thanks for all the help.
