And I'm running a full locker up front in my TJ (Aussie locker), and with the TJ's one-piece axles and unit bearing hubs you could say my hubs are locked up front all the time.

I don't know why Dodge never caught on and stopped the two-piece axle nonsense up front on their Ram trucks. EMS makes a kit to put locking hubs up front of our rams, and also offers a one-piece axle for the long side sold separately.
They did: in 2001/2 for the 2500 and 3500 trucks.

I know it is a Dodge forum but share some about your TJ and *****'s plz!!!
I'm a Jeep nut so it is always fun to run into someone else with a Jeep on here.
Jeep TJ: 1998 with 2.5/5-speed/4.88 gears/Detroit locker in rear Dana 44; Aussie in Dana 30 front with Alloy USA axles front and rear (33 spline rear). Rubicon Express Superflex 3.5" lift (4.5" Superflex kit but with 3.5" springs), 16x8" black spokes with 285/75/16" Dick Cepek FC II tires, Currie AntiRock and Currectlyc steering, A-Z rocker guards, Gen-right corner guards, Rockmen gas tank and steering skidplate (and rear bumper/frame tie-ins), AA SYE and Tom Wood's rear CV driveshaft, Genuine steel/Pro-comp bumpers, Warn 8000 lb winch, CO2 tank, high lift, CB, and I'm sure I'm forgetting some things. Had it since 2008, and it was totally stock when I got it.

Jeep ******: 1946 CJ2A with CJ3A windshield frame, 1973 Pinto 2000 cc engine. T-90 tranny (with T-90C gears)/Spicer 18 transfer case/Warn OD, 5.38 gears, Lock rights in both Dana 44 rear/Dana 25 front, old school locking hubs. Saginaw manual steering with custom steering linkage, 11" brakes, Rancho 2.5" lift with 15x8" black spokes and 31x10.5" Mickey Thompson MTX radials. Valley swing away spare tire carrier, 68 firebird seats, full roll cage, 5-point racing harness, Ramsey 6000 lb winch, CO2 tank, high lift jack, CB, and again I'm sure I'm forgetting some things. Had it since 1990 and have done a ton of work to it. It's been on it's side twice but still looks good.

armynurse,
Nice sounding Jeeps.
Mine is a 1997 TJ SE. It doesn't have the 2.5 anymore.
5.2 V-8 Magnum that I am taking out and swapping in a 5.9 that I have been building. Follow the link in my sig.
44RE trans that will get changed out to a 46RE when I swap in the 5.9
STaK's 3speed transfer case w/3.05 & 5.44 low ranges
Ford HP Dana 44 front axle narrowed to Waggy width 5.13 gears & ARB, Alloy USA cromo axle shafts and Longfield 300m u-joints
Tera Flex HP Dana 60 CRD rear axle 5.13 gears & ARB
GenRight 25 gal fuel tank, Mastercraft Dirtsport seats, Poison Spyder trail cage, York on board air w/2 gallon tank, Nth Degree long arm kit & Off Road Only AiRock Air Ride 6" bags, Kilby steering box skid, PSC steering box tapped for steering assist cylinder & PSC pump, steering assist cylinder, custom built front and rear bumpers, Tuffy center console, overhead 2 compartment console w/stereo & CB, fenderwell boxes & underseat drawer, Skid Row engine & tranny skid, Poison Spyder front tube fenders, full corners & 3" rear fenders, Poison Spyder rocker knockers, high lift & chain saw carrier.
Like you I am sure I have forgotten a little stuff. My Jeep was my rehab project after being wounded in Iraq. I bought my Jeep in 2001 and it has been slowly modified since.

Also have a 1980 CJ5 that was my father in laws. He bought it when the wife was in her teens. She drove it to high school until she bought her own car.
He gave it to us for Christmas 3 years ago.
258 6cyl, 4speed tranny, Dana 300 t-case, Dana 30 front and Model 20 rear 4.56 gears & ARB's. Warn 8,000lb winch model 8274 same as on the TJ. (Warns best winch made) Custom front & rear bumpers

And then the wife has a 2011 JK Wrangler Unlimited Sahara package. It is stock other than tires that are 32".

Ok; got the receipt in front of me. This is for changing the gears (3.55 to 4.10) on a 96 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 and putting a true-trac up front. Work was done at 4Wheel Parts in Nashville TN.

Front Axle:
TRUETRAC front Dana 44 $480
G2 R&P $182
G2 installation kit $138
Two U-joints front axle $72
Oil Seal $8
Gear Oil $23
Installation $495

Rear Axle:
G2 R&P $257
G2 Installation kit $123
Gear Oil $23
Installation $450

Oil disposal $12
Lube/cleaner HDW $24

Send me a PM if you want part numbers.

I need to find out about that gear oil charge; seems like a lot.

Always learning is a good thing!

I don't know yet. I just got it back from the shop a few days ago, I've got a new speedo gear on order, and since the truck isn't my daily driver it'll be a bit before I know. But once I put the new speedo gear in I'll top off the gas tank and reset the trip odometer. I'll report back with what I find.

So what is my daily driver? It's not my truck (was at one time though), it's not my TJ, it's not my ******; it's my.....

2008 two door Toyota Yaris (really). Now this thing gets high 30's for MPG (just over 40 sometimes when straight highway driving).

Ya gotta be a real man secure in your manlyhood to drive a Yaris.

Gears are probably one of THE most effective mods you can do to your truck, unfortunately, they are also the most expensive.
