Default headlight issue

A couple weeks ago my headlights stopped working, only thing I had was parking lights and high beams when I held in the handle.
I did some searching and thought it was the switch itself so I planned on going to the junk yard and getting one from another truck. I didn't rush it was just going to go when I had time I would only drive the truck during the day or drive something else, no big deal.

Today I realized I had another switch, I just swapped them out and I still only have the parking lights, and high beams when held. So what else could it be?

Check the wiring in the steering column at the multifunction switch. If you have tilt wheel, they like to pull out of the connectors.

this is a switch and a wiring harness for the headlights you may need to replace the wires that connect to the switch.
