Remove the cam sensor and inspect it for visible damage. Unplug it and check the connectors for dirt and debris and clean as necessary. A dab of di-electric grease won't hurt.

Check the plug wire routing per the TSB and correct as necessary.

black tape is easier to install and easier to remove.

ok. i'm so confused with this thing. i haven't gotten a change to check the sensor. but i thought the light would flash during hard acceleration. but on my way to work, it started flashing just under light acceleration (on one occasion). but still no problems, i wouldn't have even known except i caught the light out of the corner of my eye.

update date on this.....going to need some other suggestions. i had someone check it out. & the only thing he could think is that the coil is breaking down & causing the light to flash on occasions. well, i changed the coil & i still have the same problem. just not really sure where else to go with it. no drive ability problems, runs well. i feel like i have lost a little gas mileage (i thought i used to be in the higher teens, but now i'm in the lower teens pertaining to MPG). anyone have any other suggestions?

just an update. a buddy of mine sent me a link to a TSB. the number was TSB 18-48-98. it had to do with re-routing the plug wires. looks like that did it.

I''ll second this guess. Or it's misfiring that can cause damage to the cat.
