Exclamation Black strip on front doors

The vertical black stripe that is applied to to the 2 front doors on my 99 1500 quad cab are cracking and disintegrating especially the drivers side door since it gets the full sun for most of the day. I have 2 questions:
1. Can anybody help me in how I would remove them and
2. Where I can get replacements for the strips
Any help would be greatly appreciated

On 99 and 2000 year extended cab trucks there is a black strip on the rear edge of the driver and passenger doors so that when the doors are closed it gives the illusion that its blacked out from the extended cab window to the front window.

I was searching for these same black pieces for my 2000 ram the other night because the ones on my truck are cracking and flacking off, but couldn`t find them any were. I will check the dealer next time im in town to see if they can still get them.

If not, then I was thinking of getting some heavy black vinyl and making them myself ?.

^^ Wrong ^^

This is not a seal were looking for, its a cosmetic piece that is stuck on the back edge of the driver and passenger side doors.

Look at the red second gen dodge at the top of the page between the passenger side window and the extended cab window, do you see the black strip ?, that's what were talking about and what needs to be replaced.
