2001 ram sport 1500 rear bearings
I have a 2001 ram sport 360 engine 4x4 with posi/limited slip rear end.
I currently have a noise coming from rear. We put it up in the air and ran it and it seems to be coming from the outer end of left axel. Is it much of a job to replace the bearings. I was going to do both sides while I had it apart if it is not to big or difficult a job.
Could someone advise how to do this job.
Thanks Bill

I doubt its the outer axle bearings more like the lsd is going south.
To get to those bearings, remove the diff cover, remove the center pin in the lsd, remove the c clips, remove the axle shafts. The bearings need a slide pull to remove them. Once you open the diff you will find out if the lsd clutches are done for, look for metal bits.
