Dont know what the p0144 means it threw that code before but cleared it and shown up a week later. Also if a OX sensor is out does that kill your gas more?
Yes it will use more fuel without the 02 in play.

P0144 Post catalyst oxygen sensor input voltage
maintained above the normal operating
range. (8.0L only)

You need a new post 02 sensor is what its telling you and you need a new iac as well.

P0144 1/3 O2S Shorted To Voltage

Bank 1 sensor 3? really? How many O2s do you have on that truck??
