There is a tab on the front of the thermostat housing that makes removal difficult. You may have to pull the accessory bracket to get it off. Then simply grind off the tab, it it won't be an issue should you have to go there again.

Got the thing out today, I pulled the ac compressor and it just slipped out. Just fighting with the stock air cleaner now and Ill be done. Updates after. Thanks HY! I did remove that tab, obviously put there to make things difficult.

I think the engineers that design these things stay up nights thinking of things like that......

What a disaster. Got it all together and I don't know what I did wrong but its just shootin coolant everywhere! Im taking it to the shop tomorrow for them to deal with it, I don't know why its leaking. Seems to be coming out of the housing but I donno how , bare steel surfaces, new gasket and screws tightened up good, everything. I didn't use any kind of liquid gasket maker though. That why?

How's the little hose from the water pump to the intake manifold look?

Its good, I replaced that when it was plenum time. Turns out one fo the bolts wasnt seating right causing the leak. New bolt fixed it. Man this thing is running so much warmer now!
