Default P0132 Problem

Hey guys, so a month ago I recieved a P0132 code which is 02 Sensor Circuit High Voltage 1/1 so I assumed the problem was my front 02 sensor. Replaced both 02 sensors with NTK and I'm still pulling the code. To my understanding it means I am running rich. I did a tune up this spring (plugs, wires). All I know is that my mileage dropped from 13 to 8 and I lost a lot of power. What could be causing this?

Also now I'm pulling up a P0500 code and this is a speed sensor code. I have no speedometer and park light is on. I replaced speed sensor on diff in spring because of same problem and the connections are all good. Would this code be the sensor on tranny or diff?

P0132 1/1 O2S Shorted To Voltage

Check the wiring for the sensor side of the erm... sensor. (two wires are heater circuit, two are for the actual sensor) The PCM is seeing 5 volts on the sensor return wire, and is expecting 0 to 1......

Unplug the sensor, clear the code, and then see if it comes back. (leave it unplugged for a bit.)

Just a thought but could a dirty air filter cause the truck to run rich? Mines pretty dirty

Simple answer: Yes so get a new one or buy a reusable one and install it and keep it clean.

Mine is a reusable filter. Wasn't as dirty as I expected it to be. Took it off and blew it out. Tons of light coming through it so I can cross that off the list. Also checked the map sensor and mine seems to be working fine.

Could a bad plenum and/or clogged cat be the culprit behind p0132?

No. You either have a shorted wire somewhere in the harness, or the sensor itself is bad.

I see you're using SCT, did you install a 180* stat? I ask because I've got the same code and have yet ton find a wiring issue and I highly doubt 2 brand new sensors can be bad so I'm wondering if the engine running cooler is causing the code.
