fuel tank straps
I put Autozone straps on last year. So far so good. As far as changing them, I didn't feel like messing with them so I paid the neighbor mechanic to put them on. IIRC he charged $125-$150 including the straps. Sorry not much help.
Strong...hahaha.
I was running ratchet straps for a few months, held up fine. Then halfway through a 900 mile road trip one breaks at 2am nearly ripping out the pump, lines and filler neck. Then I got to sit in a parking lot doing nothing for 5 hours waiting for advance auto to open to buy their metal straps..the install went fine, pain in the *** with only one person and jack though. Spent more time looking for the strap mounting nut I lost than anything. And of course advance auto didn't have the right size but in stock. /rant
The spectras have been holding up fine for a couple months now.

When I bought my truck some time ago, one of the first things I did was to replace the ratchet strap holding the rear portion of the tank up. I replaced both of them with OEM straps (the front strap was almost rusted out), which I undercoated before installing. I did the job on a lift while using a good trans jack to handle the tank. The tank was near empty when I did the work. Also, changed out the fuel fill tube, too, as it isn't made of much and has a tendency to rust out, too.
