Got any Sheets of metal laying around? I made one out of Tin. Just folded it in itself about 3 times. Riveted the ends from the stock strap on.

I got the straps from Advance. That was a year or three ago. My gas tank is still hanging onto the truck...... worked fine. The rear is easy to change, the front is a bit more fun.

Oh.....

Gotta drop the tank a bit to get the front one. It kinda clips into the frame. If you have the rear mount loose, you might be able to jocky the tank out of the way enough to get the new one on in front. Careful of the lines/electrical though, don't wanna break anything else.
