At Wits End--Engine Loss of Power, Backfires
I be looking at the timing chain for slack even if its new. Can view the fuel sync at idle if its bouncing around alot its the chain. Cloyes, comp ect ect will develop slack in a very short time. Rollmaster or JP performance will not stretch and if ment for performance builds unlike the other chains being OE replacements. MSB have a taller deck height making the timing chain much longer.
Picked up my truck today. Shop told me they reset my fuel sync to 0, checked fuel pressure and volume(39psi) on initial startup and driving. Drove the truck home with no issues so far, still acts like it is low on power a smig.
I have a double chain setup, cant remember brand name, also new 24 psi injectors with the upgraded tips for more spray. Im checking my ground wires, have 2 that run to block, tomorrow after work. Will keep u posted redneck.

Sounds like truck is running better with full sync adjustment. Eventually all timing chains develop slack from wear. I just had a MP timing chain tensioner installed at my build time. Cheap insurance. If it is an issue install a decent chain with the MP P5007709 tensioner.
Update= Trucks been running ok for almost a week now. I think I have a stuck open thermostat atm, truck wont get any hotter than 145 degrees. I had found a ground strap that runs from the firewall to the intake, not attached. The only two repairs that were done were, setting fuel sync and reattaching a ground. Hope this helps redneck.
