Help Please!!!!
Loose and missing conections probably causing starting and driveability problems. You may have got unlucky and your thermostat decided to stick closed and is a separate issue with the overheating problem.
dude, check your spark plugs and make sure none of them are grounding out on anything. i had this same problem last week and replaced the battery and thought i was gonna have to replace a ton of **** and i found out my spark plug had been resting againt the header and melted throught the loom and some of the wire and was shorting on the header. Well, guys. Hooked the negative wire back up to a new ground terminal and that fixed everything except the temperature gauge. Somehow when I took the alternator off or when I put it back on at Advance I broke the top half of the temperature gauge sender switch. So I went out in took it off and now it's good to go as far as I know. Thanks for all your help.
