Default front end leaks gear lube and has idle problem

i have a 99 dodge 1500 larmie. we put new ball joints in the front end and didnt know that there was a bushing in between the sub shafts. it took the seal out on the passenger side. i got the new seal and bushing and ive had to put four seals in it so far. they said there is another bushing in there somewhere but i couldnt figure where it went. then it also has a idling problem. if i leave it idle itll go from 700 rpm down to 200 rpm before it dies out. when it starts its idling issue if u shut it off and restart it. it will run just fine. its not kicking a code ive had people tell me its the computer, a head gasket and any thing else they can think of. i need help on figuring this out please. thanks

There is a large bushing that supports the inner axle, and a smaller bushing that goes between the two axles. There is a little nub on the outer axle that fits into the inner. That bushing needs to be there. (actually, BOTH bushings need to be there...) If one or the other are missing, you will eat that axle seal right quick. Think ya need to pull the inner axle to swap that bushing.
