Default p0340 01 ram 1500 5.9l magnum

i just replaced my timing chain and crankshaft sensor. now I'm getting a p0340 code and it will start but won't crank. the manual says its a camshaft position sensor. what I'm wondering is why has that gone out in the process of replacing the timing and the crankshaft sensor?

It will crank, but it won't start.

Check the connector for the cam sensor. It's in the distributor. Probably came uplugged.
