The catalytic converter and O2 sensors should be replaced at 80k miles or just the O2 sensors?

For added insurance, I also use a timing chain tensioner (MOPAR Performance P5007709). Even the double roller chains stretch over time, so I added this to keep my valve timing rock-solid for a long time. See the link below for a picture of the part:

Just the O2's. Only replace the cat if it becomes a problem.

*Always* change timing chains and gears as a set.

When I changed mine last weekend (at 126k miles) it had developed a good 3/4 inch of slack. There were no symptoms of a bad chain, but since I was changing the water pump, might as well. Why wait until it breaks?

Also replaced the front seal as it had a slow drip... Interestingly, LOTS of sludge on the back side of the front seal. Never would have known if I hadn't checked.

Sadly, it came like that, though not as bad as this guy. The valley was pretty clean at least. Every time I turn around I find more neglected maintenance on this truck. I've been thinking about running some ATF through the oil to clean it out, but am kind of afraid as to what gunk it might break off.

I had an old Toyota tercel with 120k miles on it that ran like a champ. Did an oil change, used the max life oil for engines with over 75000. Suddenly started burning a quart a week. Switched back to dino oil, but the damage was done. Don't want to go through that again.

To stay on topic, that Toyota also got its timing belt changed when the water pump went out, but it had a 1500cc engine (yes, you read that right. Like a motorcycle.) so it could have used a large rubber band for a timing belt. Who knows!

I'm getting ready to replace the water pump on my 97 5.9l (207k miles) , and figure I might as well do the timing chain/gears at the same time since I don't know if/when it's been done previously. Any recommendations for a particular brand of double roller chain?
