Replaced the upstream O2 sensor today. Came out with little issue; in fact I had more problems with the electrical connection than I did getting the sensor out of the exhaust. In fact, I had so much trouble with that stupid plug that I *may or may not have* shot it with some penetrating oil to get it out. (Okay, I totally did.)

Now I get the dreaded P0132.

No code before, and all wires looked good during disassembly. Would the penetrating oil cause a high voltage code like that? If so, how to fix it?

(I still have the original sensor, so I can swap it and see if the code goes away- thus indicating a bad sensor. I just don't want to climb under there again today. )

Well, problem solved. Took it all apart, dried it all out, reassembled, and no code. Apparently PB Blaster conducts enough that it carried over the 5v for the heater circuit to the signal circuit.

All that's left for me to do is enjoy my phenomenal gas mileage!

Wow, that's interesting. Have to keep that one in mind for future reference.

I had that code cleared, got it to clear for 700 kilometers and it came back.
