Short Block
Pick up a long block, (comes with heads) or, yank yours, rebuild it, and replace the heads.
(actually a better option, as 99% of rebuilds come with reman heads, which still have the same weaknesses as the factory fellers.... as they started out life that way.) or, pick up a rebuildable core, rebuild that, and then just swap motors. That way, while the rebuild is going on, you can still drive the truck.
may wanna do a cylinder leakdown test, and see just where your problems are. combine that with a dry/wet compression test, and it gives you a really good idea of just where the major problems are.
