Default Grinding/squeak noise

My truck has been doing this for awhile and I never got around to fixing it or figuring it out. But I figured sense I just posted on here for cluster. I'll ask about this.

Every time I turn the wheel I hear a grinding noise coming from my truck it's near the pitman arm and rod that connects to the tie rods. And when I go over a bump and my front end sinks and rises it squeaks. Any idea what it could be

2 or 4 wheel drive?

Could be dry bushings, steering parts, or any of a number of other things. Best bet would be to park someone in the driver seat, have them crank the steering back and forth, while you look/listen for the noisey part(s).

It's 2 wheel sadly. And I had my girl jump in and turn it left to right and it's such a hard grinding noise it hard to tell it seemed like it was the point were the pitman arm and the rod that it connects to (can't think of the name) is but it also seemed like it could be the idler arm I think. But I don't get how those could cause the squeaks when I hit a bump

May be two separate issues.

Jack up the front of the truck, inspect all your steering components. See what moves, that shouldn't, and what doesn't move, that should.... Take it from there.

If anything has grease fittings, grease 'em. Might be dry joints making all the racket.
