Alright I'm probably doing this wrong so please forgive me. I have a 99 2500 with the 360. The truck has been a gem since I bought it a couple months ago. Last week I noticed that my glove box light did not work so I tried replacing the bulb with no luck. So I put a multi meter on it and my map, radio, convience, ignition ring, third brake light and still glove box all went out. All fuses are good. The head lights and parking lights all work. The truck starts and drives like normal. Now the CEL is on. My scanner cant read the truck. I need an adapter. Anyone have any ideas or direction I could go in?

Alright it was the IOD fuse that blew. Thank you for that. I didn't have a full understanding of the impact that fuse had. So now my lights work. Minus the glove box light. That is the only light in my truck that doesn't work. All fuses are good. Any place the wires pinch behind the dash board? The bulb is new also. The under hood light does work if that helps give anyone some direction.

Check all wire and connections and make sure the button that pushes in on the switch is actually moving.
The switch may just be bad.

Quick update. I pulled most of the dash apart today and traced the wires as best I could. Everything seems to be connected properly. I did find out that I also have a cup holder light. Its in the back of the drop down cup holders. That bulb is also good but does not seem to work. Any known connection between the two?
