Default My truck keeps eating ps pumps help

Ok so this is driving me nuts!2 weeks ago today I lightly slid into a tree & my powersteering pump went out, replaced it then on this past Thursday it went out Friday I replaced it then this Friday I replaced the pump then today the pump went out again,I was in the store & could hear it squealing from outside I went out started it & the ps wasn't working I went to turn & it felt like something was binding & then it felt like something broke..I'm thinking maybe the pump shaft & then while I was driving down the road a part of the belt ripd off ,any ideas?I know my tensioner pulley was squeaky but that's about it.Please excuse any typos or terseness: this email was sent from my mobile and I have clumsy fingers.

Did the pump actually lock up? If so, I think you need to thoroughly flush the system before installing another one. Seems like there is junk in there jamming up the pump. Either that, or get a different brand pump.......

i'd believe 1 bad pump, but 2 or 3 is unlikely and makes me suspect you are doing something wrong.

compare to this-

If the pulley on the ps pump is not on far enough, the bearings in the pump will squeal due to stress. Then fail.

Thanks fellas,I did flush it & bleed it,tonite while changing out I think I found the problem the pulley came loose while bleeding the system. After further inspection of the pulley it appears to be damaged it has metal grinding spots on the back of the hole & when u press it on the pump you can pull it back & fourth about a 1/4 of an inch so Ill be replacing the pulley tomorrow.
