PCM part number reference?

Does that mean that the flash will be identical across the board on those units, or is that those part numbers supersede to the one, with different flashes to be loaded at the time of installation?
That's what I'm trying to determine - do the different part numbers indicate different flashes, or does it mean something else, such as whatever tech or factory made them? Or am I just making a bigger deal out of this than need be?

Probably just different firmware in the PCM, or slightly different circuit board designs. All the manual trans trucks operate the same way, only difference is in programming for engine size. Same goes for auto trans trucks. So far as I can tell, there isn't any difference in the PCM from manual, to auto, other than the programming. There are no 'manual trans' specific connector pinouts listed on any wiring diagram I have seen.

Finally got around to picking up a PCM last night...found one off a '96 Ram 5.2/MT, SLT trim package. Plugged in to the Jeep, and immediately noticed the CEL doesn't come on with KOEO, and doesn't run the gauges at all though it does run the engine a whole heck of a lot better than the Jeep PCM did. Also has the security LED illuminated constantly while running, and not at all after locking the doors (when it would normally be blinking).
So there are some defininate differences in the wiring between a '96 Jeep Grand Cherokee and a '96 Ram, at least as far as the PCM wiring is concerned. I did find a YouTube video last night that did the same basic swap as I did, on a '96 Grand, and used a '98 Ram PCM. There's a '98 PCM a couple hours away from me that I'm considering driving down tonight to go pick up.

PCM help please
I have a 99 Dakota 3.9 4x4. It was not going into overdrive intermittently I took it into the shop and they said it was the solenoids in the tranny they replaced all of them then it would not start they said it was the pcm all along so I ordered one off line gave my vin and everything. With the new pcm installed now it will not shift outta first gear. Stumped I took it to the dodge dealership and they said it’s the wrong pcm. Can this be correct I ordered it months ago and can not return it I ordered it for the vin number what’s my next step now that I’m broke.
