I'd suggest taking you uncle with you to look at the truck and to help you negotiate with the seller. Also, if you plan to have your uncle perform the repairs on your truck, he can give you an idea as to whether or not its a vehicle you should purchase or pass on.

 

This a really good idea. Maybe he will have a scanner he can plug into and see if there are any codes stored in the computer that haven't lit the check engine light, not all do.
