Turns out the exact code is P0753 shift solenoid A shift. Not sure exactly where that part is but I'm guessing its inside the trans as well. My neighbor has a scanner and read the code for me.

The only shift solenoid in there is for O/D...... if you are going to replace it, get the pair, O/D, and TCC.

OK, yeah, it will not go into OD...so what is the TCC one for? And I take it it's right in the same area as the shift solenoid?

TCC is torque converter clutch. (you have a locking converter in your trans. better gas mileage, (*snicker*, yeah, right) and generates less heat when locked. Both solenoids are on the same bracket. You can generally buy them as a set. (around 100 bucks I think.) They attach to the valve body in the trans. (gotta drop the pan.) Rumor has it, you don't actually have to drop the valve body to change them, but, it does require some creativity.

Well, I pulled the pan, and I have metal shavings in my trans oil and in my pan...I think I need a rebuild.

It wasn't terrible, and no, I didn't take a pic, D'oh!! There was liquid silver swirls in the fluid, and some shavings on the bottom of the pan. I already put the pan back on, I didn't change the solenoid out, I just wanted to take a look and see how bad it was in there.
I ended up trading the truck so I could get my daughter a little car for school. I traded for a 99 Toyota corolla with a rebuilt trans, and plus on top of the trade he gave me $400 cash for the Truck. I took it to him to check it for me, and started talking about my plans to get my daughter a car, and The guy runs a tranny shop, so he will fix it and re-sell it for a nice profit I am sure, but I got my daughter a car, and a few bucks for Dad to buy some more mods for his Charger!
