4BT, end thread I put a cam in my truck thinking a little bump in power would quench the shortcomings of an otherwise excellent engine (as big as it is...it's not real big on power) I looked at going 408 and feel like this. That's great but I could get a 1999 Thomas school bus with a 5.9 cummins with the 215hp P7100 AND an allision AS2000 for 960 bucks, bullet proof start to finish, change the fuel plate, minor tweaks here and there and the truck will live forever quite literally. Weight is not an issue when your truck already weighs 6460 lbs sitting in it. Some gusseting would be warranted sure...but why not....why not scrap a money pit for a life long power maker. By the time you get done scrapping out the bus, you've got money left over for 3/4 ton axles, and there is the real bonus.
