What happens if I use can bus led bulbs in the interior of my truck (ash tray, cup holder, map/dome lights)? I have a 2000 ram

You mean to add LED lamps? Or using bulbs from a CAN bus vehicle?

You should not need canbus on a 2000. I dont know what would happen if you did. I upgraded all my interior bulbs in my 05 Dakota to just regular LED bulbs, but on our 2013 Journey, it DOES need canbus LED's to work. Not sure what changed over the years.

The led bulbs I was looking at on superbrightleds.com said (in red so it must be important haha) said not to use can bus bulbs in a non can bus vehicle (or something like that). But it's only for interior lighting so it shouldn't matter right?

If it says dont use canbus bulbs in a non canbus vehicle, why would you want to?

Having be only for interior lights (not turn signals, brake lights, head lights) I didn't think it would matter, but I guess it does. Thank you for the help.

Just get normal LED's, they will work. No need to pay extra for something you dont need.
