Ok update on the truck I changed out my crappy autolite spark plug wires and bought a set of DUI live wires they are 10mm I know it's kinda overkill for a stock ignition but I followed the routing diagram and installed the new plugs. Right from the start I could tell the engine was running smoother, I have been driving the truck around for a few hours with no check engine light on hopefully this has solved my cylinder 6 misfire issue but only time will tell. I was really impressed with the quality of the DUI live wires they made it easy by numbering each wire makes it easy for us novice mechanics. Thanks for all the help guys.

I got them through summit racing they were 110 shipped to my front door. Davis Unified Ignition Wires they are by far the best quality spark plug wire I have ever seen and used. You should definitely check them out.

Any issues with RF noise?

 

Sorry buddy but I am new to the dodge truck and I don't know what RF noise is haha please explain.

 

This applies to any vehicle that is electronically controlled. RF= radio frequency noise. Using low resistance spark plug wires can wreak havoc on modern electronically controlled engines, interfering with feedback data from the engines sensors. I was just wondering if you have had any issues with RF interference/noise.

 

So far I have not experienced any issues with the wires, I drove a 130 miles with them on the truck today. Even my digital economy mpgs display was bouncing back and forth between 13 all the way up to 19 it has not done that since I owned the truck. It's a 2001 1500 sport 5.2 with the factory 4:10 gears. Now I realize that is just not from the spark plug wires but they have really smoothed the idle out. I think I am still hearing a slight engine pig at light throttle, I am kinda stumped on that but I am sold on the plug wires. I also realize that my old plug wires probably would have worked if routed correctly but I read on this forum on another thread about a guy using these plug wires and had great luck with them. Thanks for explaining what RF was I am trying to learn everything I can about these Dodge Magnum engines.
