Shifting when Cold

Default Shifting when Cold

I have a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 360. When it is extremely cold it doesn't shift out of 1st, but after I let it sit for 15 mins with the engine shut off then it shifts just fine. If anyone has any solutions to this problem, I would greatly appreciate it.

Check that fluid level is correct..in neutral at operating temperature. Take a look at throttle lever on drivers side of transmission, there is spring to pull the the throttle valve cable back. The TV cable can stretch or the lever can get sticky, messing with 1-2-3 shift points. Somewhere to start.
