Default Cup holder light

I replaced all my interior lights with led. I replaced my cup holder light also but it still doesn't work. Any thing it could be? Also how do I get to the light in the ashtray?

Is the cupholder light supposed to be on when the lights are on? Or does it go off when you close it? If the latter, look for the switch.

No clue on the ashtray light.

Looked at wiring diagrams. Nope. No switch. Always on with lights on. On the same power feed as the ashtray light. Common ground as well. Check and see if you are getting power to the lamp.

I would think if you pull the ashtray out of the dash you should find screws mounting the assembly that the ashtray slides in and out of.
Remove those screws and you should be able to access the bulb.
You may just have to remove the ashtray to get to it.

I took the 2 screws out and the thing didn't budge. I didn't want to push to hard because I didn't want to break anything. The ashtray light does come on only with the head lights on. So thank you for the tip on that.

I can't find anything in the FSM..... get a bright light, and see if there is anything else holding it in.

Default cup holder light and ashtray lights

It is one unit behind the dash panel.
Easy to get to. One screw to remove from the trash bag hook, panel pops out. You will see it under the radio. It pulls out, disconnect the harness and slide the new one in, connect the wiring, pop the panel back in and install the screw.
