borrow vin #
Hi everyone, im currently building a 2001 dodge 2500 with a v8 5.9 in it. The truck is originally an automatic, but I have a nv4500 to put in it. I need to buy an ecm for it, but to do so I need an accurate vin #. Ive tried to find one locally on craigslist and on ebay with no luck other than 318 engines (which have a different fuel curve I've read). So does anyone have a vin # I can borrow. Or any other suggestions?
It did come with a 5.9 and it Will run the engine, but I was reading about a guy who did this and when he hits the clutch it will sometimes stall because it thinks it should have some drag from the torque converter still. Plus it throws half a dozen transmission codes
