Question Keyless Entry Help!

Hey guys, I have a 1997 Ram 1500, and I bought it used. I have always had a small red light mounted under the dash, and never really thought about what it was for. Well, after I looked at my friend's new truck today, he told me that he found out that he had keyless entry from finding the key FOB. He pointed to the receiver, built into the dash, and it looked exactly like the red lens under my truck's dash.

So I did a little research, because I don't have a key FOB, and it looks like I have some kind of remote keyless entry system installed! I'm not sure what brand, or if it still works, or what to do next; and I thought you guys could assist me here.

Here's what it looks like:
(Sorry for the poor quality, they were taken on my phone and at night!)

If any of you recognize this as a keyless entry system, know the brand, or maybe even know how to program in a new remote, I would be very grateful if you could let me know!

Any help or info is appreciated! Thanks!

-Chris

Are you sure it's keyless entry and not an aftermarket alarm system?

Yeah that's what i'm thinking. I have never seen keyless entry with a light.
Unless it's combination of both.

I think it might be a combo system, but I'm really not sure. I saw a similar setup on my friend's '95 Ford, which has it, so I thought that they would be similar aftermarket systems. I hope it's not just an alarm! Is there any way that I can test and see what it is, without getting my alarm stuck on for 20 minutes?

See if there are any identifying marks on the box.
