Fuel injector replacement
#21
I'm running the 5.2/auto, 2" lift with 4.10 gears and 285/75/16" DC FCII tires.

Ok; so I just got back from a 900 mile (mostly highway) round-trip with the truck (Clarksville TN to Augusta GA and back) averaging 70-75 mph. I averaged 12 mpg +/- 0.5 mpg with the rebuilt fuel injectors. So I would say the injector swap was worth it. It just seems to run a little bit better
And this is with a 96 1500 4x4 SWB regular cab (with a cab-height fiberglass cap) lifted 2" with the 5.2/auto, 4.10 gears and 285/75/16" tires. The original injectors were replaced with rebuilt units right at 200,000 miles
