anybody ever done this an had good results??

What kind of results are you looking for? PCM will engage TCC in third gear at around 45 MPH. (or lower, if you have O/D turned off.) A switch would allow lockup in 1st..... or anywhere else, but, if you forget to turn it off, you stall at stops.

i figured if i could turn this on an off i wouldn't mind having when i race my buddies truck or feel like doing a nice burn out lol

Sounds like a good way to kill your trans but I know it's pretty common in the diesel world

ive always heard that less slip in the torque converter is better on a trans anyways
