The intent of the urethane insert is to lessen the engine movement on diesel trucks that have been worked and have higher torque (stop the engine flopping around in the engine bay).

My requirement is to minimize the torque moment of my engine, since fitting LT headers has crowded the front driveshaft, and they hit under low speed hard acceleration.
The inserts should stiffen the mounts enough so the driveshaft and the collector on the LH header don't hit when I stove my boot in on the gas peddle.

Question I think I screwed something up

I think I screwed something up. I got my motor mounts and my transmission mount replaced, but now there's a wild ticking sound coming from either the back of the motor or the transmission. Once it warms up the taking goes away any ideas?

Not a plug wire ground out is it? Or an exhaust leak?

I know it's not a spark plug wire because they're brand-new and I just performed a tuneup change spark plugs and everything associated with it. It didn't sound like an exhaust leak it literally sounds mechanical like the torque converter is hitting that the shield that butts up against the engine, is that possible?

Maybe. if one of the bolts is a little loose, it will make an interesting noise. Probably need to crawl around in there while it is running (be CAREFUL) and see if you can localize it.

Question

That's exactly what I did last night. You can definitely hear it and feel it. It's like it's touching that dust shield. So here's my question if I take the starter off and those two brackets. Move the shield off. How do I tighten down and re torque the bolts on the torque converter. Or should I just try to Loosen the two bracket bolts put the jack back under the bell housing and try to lift the transmission a quarter of an inch then tighten down the two brackets to see what happens.

With that shield out of the way, you can get to the t/c bolts pretty easy, just one at a time. Need to jam the ring gear the starter engages to keep the engine from spinning while you tighten the bolts. Or, if you have air tools, it's real easy. Just don't break 'em off.
