Default Vacuum Lines?

99 1500, 5.2, 4x4, manaul.

Where does that vacuum line go? Truck idles extremely high, could this be the cause?

It's certainly a cause of a high idle, and it's also probably leaning out the mixture. I'm not sure what would normally go there, but in the meantime, put a cap over it, until you find the proper connection.

Not only does it idle high, when I'm driving it bogs down real bad, like it's getting starved, but it never dies.

That conection may feed the vacuum line that handles the vent ducts on the inside of the truck. Connection may go from there back towards the firewall.

As far as I know it doesn't go to anything, at least that's how it has always been on mine.

I can't find any connections for it, but when I plugged it my idle became normal and it doesn't bog down.

I believe that is a spare, and is just capped (look at the bottom of this picture).

Look in front of the radiator, you should see a decal something like this

I will show what is supposed to be connected on each side.
