Default differential question

Need some advice I changed rear diff fluid on my 98 ram 4x4 its a 9.25 and I found part of
The steel from the clutch pack there was some noise but no change after fluid change I used 80w90 blend and 7oz. Of modifier I'm thinking of auburn diff swap can I use the same ring and pinion gears just put new carrier in any help and thoughts would be most helpful thanks for your help in advance

Yep. Just leave the pinion in place, as it is already in the correct spot. Should be pretty straightforward.

Thanks heyyou is this swap as easy as you sound like it is. I'm thinking this is the best upgrade for the money and long life of the diff would u agree

Just make sure backlash is correct. Grab the manual, and read up on the job. Swapping to something better than stock is always a good plan.
