transmission band adjustments

Got it. Nut in the center of the picture...only the nut is exposed on the outside of the transmission.

I was looking for the complete assembly pictured below on the outside of the transmission. Now looking at it again I realize that was pretty stupid.

Thanks for the help.

Not stupid. The topic of band adjustment is buried in old wives fables and shady mechanic lore. It is a simple, manufacturer recommended maintenance item...after you have done it once or twice. The adjustment pin should be exposed in my pic but mine was adjusted all the way in because the front band material was worn out completely. I had to replace the band. It works like new now.
