Default Tranny question

So i was wondering what is the main cause to loose reverse in these transmissions? Is it somthing I can fix without taking the tranny out or is it not worth getting into it. I tryed changing the solinoid sand doing a band adjustment a few times but no luck. I guess what I'm l

If a band adjustment didn't help, more than likely time for a rebuild.

Which band is it again? The screw on the outside adjustment went way in which seemed weird to me. It went in past the lock nut. I was just wondering if that's normal. I have a newer truck now so I'm looking into what's wrong with my old truck and thinking about scraping it

If the adjuster goes in that far, that means the band is pretty much shot. WITTRANS sells 'slip in' bands.... but, if the bands are that bad, chances are, the clutches are as well.

Oh ok. Maybe il just forget about it and sell it and let someone else do it lol. I don't have the stuff to drop out the tranny
